26th European Championship in underwater orienteering and 9th youth European Championship Bratislava 2017
Place and date of the event - 2nd - 10th September 2017 Bratislava - Petržalka, on the water surface of Veľký Draždiak
The event involves the participation of the elite speed diving and orienteering competitors in the number of about a hundred of top athletes from sixteen countries, from three continents of the world. Venue of the event will be the water area Veľký Draždiak and the base of the entire championships will become Grand Hotel Pressburg ****. The entire course of the championship is realized by the team of the Slovak diving association.

Information about accommodation
Due to the closure of the main hotel we were forced to change the place of the accommodation. The accommodation will be provided by Airporthotel HOTEL CHOPIN.

Welcome grill party - Saturday 02ndSept.2017
On Saturday we will have a small opening party for competitors, We will meet each other and start an unofficial part of the championship in the form of a short GRILL-party at the Chopin hotel
Opening ceremony - Sunday 3rd Sept. 2017
The opening ceremony will include performances of the traditional period dances and a demonstration of Slovak culture with a musical ceremony. Together we start the event we were waiting for the whole year.

Location of the „Veľký Draždiak“ lake is convenient because of its accessibility from all main directions - from Prague, Vienna and Budapest (and only 14 minutes from M.R. Štefánik airport by car). The lake is situated in the largest Bratislava district - Petržalka. Area of the lake is 13ha, visibility 2 - 4m and maximum depth is 17m. Average water temperature in September reaches 17 - 21°C.
